Hucklebones Spring/Summer 2011 Collection

The Hucklebones Spring/Summer 11 Collection I shot towards the end of last year has been getting some great press recently, both online and in magazines around the world. As the collection is now in stores I thought I would post a few of my favourite images from the shoot.

For the photographers amongst you I’ve also added a little (literally) shot of the very simple studio setup at the bottom of the post, two large softboxes and a marble colorama. The images were slightly over-exposed to create an airy look to the images.

Alan - Hi Louise, thanks for the comment. In answer to your question, yes you end up with two catchlights. You can kind of see this in the first image. Usually one of the lights would be at a lower power creating more of a fill light than key light but in this case they were equal power to get a shadowless, airy feel. However if memory serves we pulled the right light back away from the subjects a bit to lessen the power a little.

Louise - These are beautiful and thanks for sharing your set up. The tones are gorgeous. I’m very tempted by a marble backdrop now!

The one thing I have to ask is about the catchlights with two lights on the subject – do you end up with two and if so, how does this look?

Cyprus Weddings - Hucklebone’s Summer Collections is really looking so nice and lovely. Girl is looking so cool in these clothes.

Jo Hastings - Beautiful, that first image is brilliant. I have a marble backdrop would love to get mine looking this good.
