Andy Duguid | Album Shoot

I generally like to have a location picked out for a shoot, especially when some of the images are to be used on artwork. Unfortunately this was not the case for a last minute shoot for trance producer (and fellow Scotsman) Andy Duguid for the artwork of his new album due for release on Tiesto‘s label, Black Hole Recordings.

After driving around for a while in silly heat we stumbled upon this great location just outside Currys – a big electrical retailer to my overseas friends. So, we set up a few small lights and grabbed a few shots before security noticed and ‘moved us on’. I’m really pleased with how they turned out but please feel free let me know what you think in the comments.

Alan - Thanks Paul, I appreciate your comment. Just had a nosey at your website and really love your images, good stuff :)

Paul Larkins - Love the use of the lines to lead the eye to the subject. The Top image here is my favourite because of the contrast of the sunlight and the subject lit nicely in the shadows.

Great series of images.

Paul

Alan - Cheers Glyn :)

Glyn Dewis - Real nice work here mate; love the lines, the colour and the lighting…great series.

Cheers,
Glyn

Alan - Cheers Stuart, I must admit I cleaned the building up a tad :) I did try tinting the white sections but it seemed to loose the colour contrast.

Alan - Thanks Tracy, I added a blue tint into the shadows to add a bit more interest.

Stuart - I think these look great. I find the clean lines and walls suprising clean seeing as it was outside Curry’s. Despite the short time that you had I like this shots, what is it with security? :/ Do my nut in!

May look nice if the aluminium panels just had a slight blue tint to them? Only a thought.

Tracy - The lighting and shadows play really well together. Love the colour of the building.
