It’s nice to get away for a few days, turn off your mobile phone and recharge your batteries. Last year we went to Norfolk and fell in love with the place. Maybe its the sea air, maybe it’s beautiful country side, but this time it was definitely the carrot cake from Byfords in Holt. The other highlight was riding the steam locomotive from Holt to Sheringham. It was like being in an episode of Poirot!!
In between cake eating and riding trains I managed to grab a few photographs. Landscape photography isn’t really my ‘thang’ and I’m not really that good at getting out of bed to catch the great light in the morning, but I really enjoyed taking some pictures of our travels around the Norfolk coastline. I won’t bore you with all our ‘holiday snaps’ (or the 300 shots I rattled off on the steam train!) but here’s a couple of images I quite liked.
The deserted beach at Holcombe..

Some boats in Blakeney..

Cromer…

Might get one of these pictures from Cley-Next-The-Sea printed for our wall…
